FMBankia.Com Editorial Policy

Trust is earned. Here's how FMBankia.Com researches, reviews and stands behind everything we publish.

Last updated: 15 July 2026

At FMBankia.Com, credibility is the only asset that matters. This policy sets out the standard every guide is held to, and the principles that keep our journalism independent. It is the long form of the four-step method we show on our homepage.

The FMBankia.Com method, in full

1. Research

We start at the source. Wherever possible that means primary material — regulatory filings, central bank releases, official statistics and company reports — rather than someone else's summary of them. If a claim can only be traced to another blog, it does not run.

2. Translate

Then we strip the jargon. Our test is simple: could an intelligent reader with no finance background follow this? We explain not just what is true but why, so you can reason about your own situation rather than take our word for it. If a sentence only sounds clever, it does not survive the draft.

3. Review

Every guide is reviewed by a member of the editorial team before publication — checked for accuracy, balance, and whether the risks are stated as plainly as the upside. Nothing reaches you without a second pair of eyes.

4. Revisit

Rates move and rules change. Guides carry a visible publication date, are revisited periodically, and are updated or corrected in the open rather than quietly edited.

Independence

Editorial decisions at FMBankia.Com are made by our newsroom alone. Advertisers, sponsors and affiliate partners have no influence over what we cover or the conclusions we reach — and no advance sight of our coverage. Where content is sponsored or contains affiliate links, we label it clearly so you always know what you are reading. See ourFinancial Disclaimer for the commercial detail.

Accuracy and corrections

We work hard to get things right — and when we get something wrong, we fix it promptly and transparently. If you spot an error, emailhello@fmbankia.com and we will investigate. Significant corrections are noted on the affected guide rather than erased.

Balance and tone

We avoid hype, fear-mongering and get-rich-quick framing. You will not find countdown timers or "one weird trick" on FMBankia.Com. Finance is serious, and we treat it — and our readers — with the respect that deserves. Where risks exist, we state them plainly, even when it makes a story less exciting.

Tools and data

Calculators and data modules on FMBankia.Com are illustrations, built to help you understand a mechanism — not forecasts of your results. Where figures are indicative rather than live, we say so on the page. Read the Financial Disclaimer for the specifics.

Sources and attribution

Where we rely on another organisation's data or reporting, we credit it. We do not present others' work as our own, and we do not republish material without permission.

Not advice

Our content is educational and general in nature. It is not personalised financial advice. Please read our Financial Disclaimer in full.

Feedback

We welcome scrutiny. If you have questions about our methods, a story tip, or feedback on our coverage, reach FMBankia.Com any time via our contact page.
